What is stored
The player names you type, your group names, how many entries and units there were on each night, and the result worked out from them: who pays whom. If you agreed on a payment to the host or a share for the group kitty, that amount and that percentage are stored as numbers too. That is all. No accounts, no passwords, no email addresses, no contacts, no location and no payment details.
How a device is identified
On first launch a random identifier is generated and kept on the device. It is not linked to your name, your phone number or your email. It only lets the server know which groups belong to this device. When you join a group you can pick which of the players you are, from the list the host typed, so they can see you joined. That choice is optional and skippable, and the only name stored is one that was already in the list. Whoever opened the group can mark a friend’s device as allowed to start nights, which is stored as a permission on that device and not as a personal detail. The date the app was first opened is recorded as well, so we know how many people use it. The device model is not recorded, and neither is location.
Who sees what
Only people who have the group join code can see that group. Nothing is sold, rented or handed to a third party.
Ads
The app shows banner ads through Google. That service may use the device advertising identifier. You can reset or limit it in your operating system settings.
Money
The app does not move money, is not connected to any payment method, and processes no transactions. The host payment and the group kitty are both numbers the app works out and displays; the money itself changes hands between people, outside the app.
Deletion
Whoever opened a group can delete the whole group from inside the app, along with every night and player in it, and can also delete a single night from the history. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, write to us and it will be handled within 30 days.
Children
The app is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
Kept only on your device
Two preferences are kept on your device only and are never sent anywhere: how you like the player list sorted on the live screen, and the version number of an update notice you dismissed, so it does not come back.
